Elizabeth Sutphin, LCSW, CAS
Are you struggling with life transitions, health concerns or grief and loss?
Do you feel like you have an unhealthy relationship with a substance?
Are you and your partner stuck in unhelpful patterns that you can’t seem to break out of?
My passion is working with adults who experience a wide range of mental health concerns. I especially enjoy working with older adults who are experiencing life transitions, health concerns, disabilities, and grief and loss. In addition, I have many years of experience working with clients and their families who struggle with substance use issues.
I utilize several approaches in therapy which are geared towards my client's needs. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Gottman Method couple's therapy.
Meeting with a new therapist can be intimidating regardless of whether this is your first time in therapy, or you have been through the process before. I work hard to establish a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients and provide a safe nurturing place where people can share information about their lives as well as get help when they are stuck.
